Jessica Hernandez has 15 years of experience working with public and private sector entities in the planning and implementation of sustainable development projects and resiliency initiatives. She has participated in the planning and financing of more than 40 urban infrastructure projects, water, clean energy, solid waste management, among others.  She has a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Administration from ITESM.  She has worked at the North American Development Bank as a Program Manager and as Associate Director for Latin America in the Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities program.  She currently collaborates with the government of Mexico in the development of water supply projects.

In this episode, we discuss hard questions from a systemic point of view like Who cares enough about sustainability and resilience?; Is sustainability sustainable?; and How are we going to deal with the consequences of our modern lifestyle in a way that makes life better for all of humanity, not just for a portion of us?

We also discuss how we can become one of the many that are looking for ways to move our society forward sustainably and resiliently.
